Do you remember Snow White's apple? Red Melinda is the quintessential apple, which nobody can resist because captivates you at first glance. So intensely red outside and so candidly white inside, the Red (also with the P.D.O. label) is the apple preferred by women for its slender shape, its attractive colour and its pleasantly sweet and distinctive flavour. This apple is best when you bite into it with gusto to feel the crunch in the pleasure of tasting it.
Red - just like its name. Smooth and velvety skin. "The five points" at the bottom of the fruit make the Red Melindas immediately recognisable among all other red apples.
Intense, sensuously sweet and aromatic.
Creamy white, mildly sweet and aromatic, crunchy and slightly tart. It tends to become softer when it has passed the apples' ideal stage of ripening.
Red Melindas are perfect for eating raw, at the end of a meal or as a healthy snack during the day.
If you want to savour it in all its fragrance, we suggest eating it preferably within seven days of purchase.
After bringing them home, place them in the fruit and vegetable compartment of your fridge (ideal temperature 3-4 °C) for the shortest amount of time, and remove no more than two hours before eating them. Avoid storing them at room temperature for several days.
