Jonagold

Melinda. The most unmistakable of the Jonagolds.

Its beauty says everything about its goodness.

Its bright red and bright yellow colour already shows that it is a very special and particularly tasty apple.. Cultivated in the two Noce Valleys - di Non and di Sole - its flavour is a middle ground between the Jonathan and the Golden Delicious, as it is the combination of these two apples and also takes its name from them. This apple is impossible to confuse both for its appearance and for its elegant flavour.

APPEARANCE

Yellow-green colour with red-orange streaks. Round shape.

FLAVOUR

Slightly tart and fresh, due to a particular balance between sugars and acids.

PULP

Soft and yellowish, very juicy and pleasantly aromatic.

HOW TO ENJOY THEM

Eating apples raw with their skin (after having washed them with water) is good practice, so as not to lose part of their nutritive contents. Jonagolds are also excellent for making fresh fruit juices.

If you want to savour it in all its fragrance, we suggest eating it within seven days of purchase.

HOW TO STORE JONAGOLD MELINDAS

After bringing them home, place them in the fruit and vegetable compartment of your fridge (ideal temperature 3-4 °C) for the shortest amount of time, and remove no more than two hours before eating them. Avoid storing them at room temperature for several days.
